How do I make my polo wraps stretchy?

Am I the only one who doesn't think brand new out of the bag polo wraps are useable? I bought new polo's and they are SO bulky and don't stretch and slip when I put them on. I've had this problem with many different brands. How do I make them stretchy? Do you just use them till they get stretched out? I tried washing and drying them, it didn't work. When I put the new polo wraps on they just look so bulky. Are they suppose to or am I just not doing it right?

I didn't buy the longer kind.

Polo wraps do provide support but are mainly for protecting and warming the tendons.

I hate new polos. When you get less expensive ones, you often come across that problem. I tried washing and drying multiple times and still no luck. Go for the ones that are a little more expensive- it's worth it.
