All of my friends and family know that I take great pride in my Christmas list. We are barely past Labor Day and, naturally, I have completed Round 1 of the list. You see, there are always Rounds 2 and 3 as I add people in the last few shopping days. Seems the Christmas spirit really kicks it into high gear after December 1st and I find myself getting small tokens of appreciation for everyone I come into contact with-the mailman, the dry cleaning lady, the barista at my local coffee shop, and others.

So with List of Round One in hand, I headed to the local coffee shop with my laptop this past weekend to enjoy the nice weather outside, have a nice latte and begin my research. This is a big part of my reason for starting so early-I have a few strict requirements for every gift I buy:

1. I have to get a good deal on a quality item
2. The company I buy from must be socially responsible in some way
3. The gift must be a great fit-I always find something eventually; I never buy to just "get something"

With this tall order, the first thing I Googled was "Matt and Nat bags." I loved this company for their vegan ways and their commitment to helping out the community. I had purchased one for myself not so long ago, and I made a mental note that these purses and handbags would be just perfect for my sister and two of my girlfriends.
