Help me design an outfit?

I am attending an outdoor wedding next weekend. Since its April the weather is bound to be unpredictable so I want to be prepared. I need help figuring out what kind of top to buy.

What I have so far is:
- Very light khaki Express Editor pants
- Dark Purple flats

I am thinking about getting a cute top and a short-sleeve jacket. I also have a straw/light brown crochet shrug and black or white cardigans.

Any suggestions on colors and stores would be helpful.
I am taller - 5'9" so colored shoes aren't a problem.
Flats are a must since the wedding is outside on grass.

I'm not sure what part of the country you are in, but depending on your weather, I would wear a long sleeve jacket. That being said...

How about a Hot Pink or Raspberry colored top with a long sleeve jacket - sort of like a denim jacket - not too heavy but with enough oomph to it. Or use your white cardigan. Use your top as a pop of color,

Or you could go with a white blouse and a colored long sleeve jacket like in a medium Blue or a Grassy Green. Even if you have a long sleeve top that can be used as an over jacket. This way your top and pants are more neutral and the jacket gives you that pop, and this way you could use your accessories to really play it up.

I'm not real sure about the purple flats. If you have the height to carry this look then it's fine, but if you are somewhat on the shorter side then I would rethink the shoes. As a petite myself, I lean towards matching my shoes and the hem of my garment so that it creates a longer leaner affect.
