I want to know if anyone knows what type of paint that I can use & if it will last. Also, if I have to remove it vs painting over it - will it work if I cover the entire wall with sticky contact paper - bust it with a rubber mallet & then peel off the contact paper? Don't paint over the mirror. It won't last and will never have a smooth look. I just removed a mirror that was glued over my bathroom sink. I was ready to do the smash thing but tried a pry bar and to my surprise it came off in one piece. Just keep prying a little at a time. On mine the mirror installers used a special type of glue that was only applied in spots - not all over the back of the mirror. I had to do minimal touch up before I painted.
