General question,Cultural How does a black person get to net work with a 62% white America??????

okay, I"m looking at the people who are on the buses, or taking the trolley.. and they all seem to be either mexican,black, or really really old white people.. who've spent up all their savings on Bingo.. haha. .but! I just learned that most people of all races dont have a degree.. so why do so many white people jobs that pay well??? I'm guessing networking... being white's a huuuge advantage in that department...but my question is, how does a black person network with white people?>>>

Well I think none whites are really at a disadvantage. My father lost his job because the economy downturn, and he went through the same hoops to get job interviews as everyone else. He just now got a sizable interview with a company by using a standard online job bank to submit his resume. But here is where the normalcy ends. He had friend he didn’t knew he had inside the company and outside that helped him prepare for the interview. I guess he found this all out when calling to get character references and learned who worked where and almost accidently found he had connections.

For him I’d say his networking was from prior work experience but he does have an unfair advantage now in the hiring at this company. But structurally I’d say he went to college and did his time at the jobs and did a good job. He started from the bottom and worked up, he used to work at a Ford plant helping to build cars. He built connections and in some ways tried to maintain some. So I don’t see how that would be impossible for anyone else to do, but that’s seeing the problem without discrimination.

All I can suggest at this point is work hard and do the best you can, and never give up. There are people out there that want to help others. For my father his networking took place at work mostly, on the job.
