I am doing a recycling fair?

i need some ideas on what to do my recycling fair project on. here is an example: this one kid cut strips of a towel and put it through the holes of a potato sack and tied it. It made a bath rug. are there any ideas out there i keep thinking and asking people but they dont have any ideas and neither do i. Any suggestions. please help

A few ideas:-

re-use old or broken jewellery to make new and desirable designs. (lots of people have old broken beads lying around and in charity shops)

Use old clothing to make fun draft excluders ( like leather jackets, cords , denim)

Re use old curtains to make patchwork cushions... or small quilts for childrens play mats.Or even to do tiny patching to cover a note book ( makes a nice gift)

Save old jars and when fruit is in season make jam or pickles (very cheaply) and reuse the jars (after steralising)

Keep broken bits of tiles or broken glass to mosaic a top of an old table ( recycling both the table and broken tiles)

Paint old odd glasses with glass paint and add a tealight for a pretty and unique tealight burner.(you can also carefuly cut the top off a bottle and llightly sand it and do the same for a larger candle)

Collect old candles and remelt in an old saucpan remove old wics and you can even scent them with scented oil and add a new wic (very cheap to buy) .. Making new candles from oll the old unuseable bits.
