More Great Information on Robert Pattinson:

The Top Five Crushable Actors on Satellite TV   by Jon Jacobson

We all know that television can now be the place for serious dramas, acclaimed mini-series, and other content that you wouldn't expect to see side-by-side with reruns of old game shows or hilarious early '90s films. But the truth is that for everyone who is looking for a highbrow experience enjoying a truly engaging drama or a well-written and witty underdog comedy, there are countless television viewers who are just in need of something that's going to captivate them. And while there might be well-written shows that happen to feature incredible actors who do a great job, it's equally true that part of the reason that some of the more popular shows on satellite tv manage to get the ratings that they do is in part a result of the fact that they happen to employ some seriously dreamy and charismatic leading men.

Sure, the attention to attractive casts is often focused on the female players. But why limit yourself in this day and age? We live in a time where it's not uncommon for women to admit that they will sit through bloody vampire fights to catch a glimpse of dreamy Swedish actors and their perfect bone structure. And while great writing is obviously the mark of a fabulous television series, there is also something to be said about giving the ladies what they want: some attractive men to drool over.

Whether it's their sincerely good acting performances or merely the fact that they are truly a delight to watch, here are the top five crushable actors who are currently on the small screen starring in reoccurring roles on satellite tv. Whether from the States or far-flung lands, they're definitely worth TiVoing shows on network and premium channels for.

5. DJ Pauly D. Okay, so maybe he doesn't count as an actor, or you're thinking that The Situation has better abs? But anyone who can manage to take an appearance on reality television and turn it into the one career that doesn't just involve lifting your shirt for the camera is set to go places after "Jersey Shore" is a relic of the past. And in the meantime, the ladies definitely don't mind tuning in and dealing with all of the drunken drama to see Pauly D hanging out at the beach or poolside.

4. Matthew Fox. He might have been the older brother on "Party of Five" and not had much of a career after that, but Matthew Fox definitely managed to enjoy a rebirth playing the dreamy, rugged leading man on "Lost." And while the plot twists and turns have gotten almost unbearable in the last season, his face definitely has not.

3. Peter Facinelli. While he might have burned out after some 1990s teen comedies, Peter Facinelli managed to get himself cast for "Nurse Jackie," one of the surprise hits of the Showtime line-up that just keeps getting more and more viewers. And with teenage girls busy ogling Robert Pattinson in the "Twilight" films while Facinelli plays Pattinson's father, it's nice to know that he gets a chance to shine as a comedian and a handsome younger man on "Nurse Jackie."

2. Chace Crawford. While the sordid details of privileged New York students might have people in a recession ready to rip their hair out, the pretty faces on "Gossip Girl" have managed to make it one of the "it" shows of the past couple of seasons, pulling in record amounts of satellite tv viewers. And what's worth sitting through all that melodrama? Definitely the charm and good looks of actor Chace Crawford, who plays Nate Archibald.

1. Alexander Skarsgard. Son of a famous Swedish actor, Alexander Skarsgard might have previously been more famous for his appearance in "Zoolander" as a male model or his cameo in one of Lady Gaga's music videos. It's his performance as the sexy sheriff on "True Blood," however, that has female viewers across the country willing to sit through the gorier moments of season two for a chance to see their favorite vampire.
