Pewter collection highlights Philadelphia-area auction (The Philadelphia Inquirer)

The auction fever brought on each year by the Philadelphia Antiques Show,
scheduled this year for April 28-May 1 at a new location, the Convention
Center, will go up several degrees next weekend thanks to Pook & Pook Inc.'s
sale of period furniture, fine art, and accessories in Downingtown. The 1,150
lots to be offered over two days come from half a dozen private collections,
winding up with nearly 200 lots, mostly of pewter, collected by George and
Janice Wolfe of Reading. The Wolfe pieces, also including a good silver
Philadelphia coffeepot, are among the more than 680 lots in the second
session, beginning at 9 a.m. April 21 at the gallery, 463 E. Lancaster Ave.

What color should I paint the walls to go with contemporary lacquered cherry furniture and gray bedspread?

The bedroom furniture is a shiny lacquered cherry with silver/pewter handles and legs. The bedspread is dark multi gray with a light "tannish" trim. Would not like the trim color for the walls. The lamps are a light pewter. Floor is hardwood- light redish beech. This is a teen girl's room. She originally wanted dark purple walls. I said no!
I was thinking a medium color with bright accents, perhaps. thanks for the ideas.

they sell pearlised paints or maybe go with a color as the pewter...I said maybe lol ..what other color did she like. Maybe a light gray or silver give her dark purple curtains add accent pillows a rug in the purple she would like meet her half way
