I would like to make a small Crossbody bag and a tote like the Vera Bradley ones. Prefer free patterns. Ideas?

I am looking for a free sewing pattern to make a small messenger bag either like a coach cross body bag or a vera bradley crossbody bag (called the Hipster). I have looked around but have not found any that look professional. I am a sewer and want to make one for my friend with the picture of the vera bradley crossbody bag (called the Hipster) in mind. Any suggestions where I can look and get a nice pattern. Dimensions maybe 11x11. Also any suggestions to where I can also find a pattern to make a bag like a Vera Bradley tote? Thanks

Oh my gosh! I am looking for a pattern for the exact same bag as well! There's not much out there (especially as far as free goes), but I found a few things so I'll share them with you. Btw, these are in no particular order. I'm just copying and pasting them as I go. :) 1.) Another etsy paid pattern. This is by far the best one I found!!! I will be using this one. It's not a pattern but it's a tutorial (and I actually prefer those a little more). Totally free and similar to the Vera Bradley bag. However, if you don't mind paying for an actual pattern (this one is easiest to sew), than you might want to try this one. But there are tons of free patterns and tutorials online, so I'm sure you want have trouble finding one you like. Also, Pinterest has a ton of links to tote patterns.
