Wearing capris with boots? Knee-high socks?

Does it look weird if you wear capris with boots? They're not knee-high, they're just a little bit below the calf. (I was just wondering because I hear some people say it looks good and some say it looks horrible.)

And what I'm planning to try is a pair of black capris (it's a bit punkish--it has chains, straps, zippers, etc.), knee-high socks (not sure which color though... I have a lot. Mostly black and white stripes, black and green stripes, black and green skull, and black and green plaids), and a pair of high-top black converse (and the shoelaces are black and white stripes! )

Would that look okay? Or would it be better without the knee high socks? I am really horrible at combining clothing so I need some advice .

For the style you are going for, I would say Yes it looks fine, but if you were say going to a business meeting then no, HAH. Since you sound like you are talking about bondage pants, It should be fine.
