Gucci handbag question ?

I know this is the wrong catogy but the kids or rude on the right one How do you tell a really Gucci hobo TYPE HANDBAG over a fake I bought one at a yard sale like 5 yrs ago and not sure if it is real or not I live in a small area and I know not a soul that shops in places other than walmart and kmart I want to sell it on EBAY

I purchased a Gucci bag at a HelpingHands Mission several years ago for $1.00 lol ... its a vintage which I thought it was a fake but it was cute :) . I went to a upscale consignment shop and the owner said she would give me 300.00 for it . I actually laughed in her face until she told me to give it to her . She looked inside and by the inside compartment there was a flap with serial numbers which were legit . I still have it :) . Really though look for a serial number in the bag :) . Good luck .
